FACILITY ENGINEERING SERVICES

PROJECT CRITERIA DEVELOPMENT: Assist Owner in defining the requirements for the data center facility that meet the objectives of the Information Technology services provided, and commitments made, to the business.
SITE ASSESSMENTS: Provide consulting services to assess existing data center sites or new sites being considered. Assist Owner in identifying suitability, risks and vulnerabilities associated with specific site locations.
FACILITY ASSESSMENTS: Provide consulting services to assess existing data center facilities. Assist Owner with capacity (space, power, cooling) planning, reliability planning, risk assessment, system assessments (power, cooling, structural, architectural)
PLANNING AND DESIGN: Provide planning and design services for the data center facility including; new construction, existing data center expansion or system’s modification or upgrade projects. Design services include capacity planning (space, power, cooling), reliability planning, coordination of IT, power & cooling systems and equipment layouts, structural hardening, define functional spaces & adjacencies and floor plan layouts.
COMMISSIONING: Provide independent third party facility commissioning services to validate that the installation of the electrical and mechanical systems meet the design intent. Commissioning includes design review, system pre-functional testing, system functional testing and integrated systems testing.
ENERGY MANAGEMENT: Provide consulting services to assess the operations of the electrical and mechanical systems, develop and define energy consumption metrics compatible to Owners power and cooling systems, IT platforms, and operational procedures. Analyze the energy consumed based on Owner’s energy consumption metrics and provide recommendations to improve energy efficiency where available without hindering capacity, scalability or reliability.
CERTIFICATION: Provide assessment services to certify the facilities adherence to data center industry standards (TIA-942/BICSI 002-2011). Certifications are provided for new data center designs (peer review) or for existing data center facilities (assessment).
